Below is a letter from Dr.Mohsin Ansari (copied from Teethmaestro Blog) who knows something about Zaid Hamid and would like to share it with everyone.
” I moved to USA about 17 years back and hence was relatively out of touch with the developments in Pakistan. Therefore it was not only abysmal but rather surprising to see Zaid Zaman now Zaid Hamid (I am not sure what is he up to or why did he change his name) portrayed as a scholar, a defense analyst, a nationalist and may be someone who can lead our nation in the future. I think the last time I met Zaid was when he attended my wedding ceremony along with few other of his very close friends. All of his associates who attended the ceremony were the followers of a “Peer” named Yusuf. There I came to know that Zaid was not only the devotee but in essence one of the top followers of this “Peer” Mr. Yusuf, an ex army officer with quite a bit of following among youngsters. Later I came to know that this Peer was arrested as he claimed himself to be a prophet.
I met Zaid Zaman first when we went for a debate competition arranged by Pakistan Airforce in Risalpur representing Adamjee Science College. I do not want to comment much about my first impression but it was of course not very pleasant and positive. Then onwards being a debater, I visited Zaid’s academic institution the NED University frequently for different Students Union Programs. At that point Afghan jihad had a great impact on the lives of Pakistani nation. I remember all this not because it was too obvious, but in essence was too weird to too creepy to see Zaid portraying himself as a fighter in a battle field or may be dramatizing his actions as much as if he was acting in a movie scene. Hence I always felt that Zaid had some kind of mental instability. And now being a physician in USA for 17 years, we call some one demonstrating these symptoms as a Bipolar with Manic Disorder type, where one thinks himself as a redeemer, a savior and some one who possess grandiose personality.
What made me write this letter is not that I have any thing against Zaid Zaman, but since he could be another leader in the making in Pakistan, hence I felt it to be my responsibility and obligation to let people know about him. This is the least I could do to my beloved homeland. Pakistani nation has already been deceived and betrayed repeatedly by their leaders in the past. It breaks my heart to see they end up making another disastrous mistake. And once again become victim of prevarication and fiddling. Mr. Zaid Zaman is a devotee of a liar, follower of a claimer of false prophecy and an unstable person. My dear friends this is the age of technology and multimedia resources, like a true believer do not get bitten by the same hole twice. Take your time and use all the possible resources before you start delegating some one as your leader!! Now of course it is up to every individual to decide what do they want to do!!

I cannot believe that there are people out there who are telling rubbish and disinformation ,including the one who posted this page on his website.
And my message to that mohsin ansari is that you should think before you say some thing ,because MR ZAID HAMID has got thousands and thousands of lovers now in pakistan.
And as you said that people of pakistan are waken up and they are not going to be impressed by your “peer” or “zaman”
philosophy .
As you said that you know him, I know him too and even closer to him more than you and I can gurantee to all the people who can read me that he is the man of JUSTICE AND WHATEVER MR MOHSIN ANSARI SAID IS A PACK OF LIES.
I clearly left upon the people to judge his character, for my part I’m really impressed by what he is doing in Pakistan. He is really a True-Leader. But sometimes our judgments and instincts are wrong – Wallah Alam!

i want to share something which i heard on TV directly frm zaid’s tongue……he was saying that he truly believe frm the core of his heart that MUHAMMAD(P.B.U.H) is the last prophet of ALLAH and there is no doubt in it……..
how u can say that he is a denier of MUHAMMAD(S.A.W.W)?????whenever he delivers his speech,he takes references frm HOLLY BOOK OF QURAN and also cotes HADITH………….
i personally hv heard his many speeches,i never had felt that he is a lier till now…..
please have some solid search and some sort of solid points(which should b true),before speaking against him…..

Asalam o Alaiqum. wenever some one asks him about his association with yusuf kazab he denies and say meet me in person for clarification. Well my frand went to him for clarification about a week ago and u wont believe wat he said. he talked to them(my frand and some more of his frands) for abt two hours and he tried to prove that yusuf kazab was not kazab. wen they ask y do u say that u dont know anyone named yusuf kazab , he said b/c they were asking me abt yusuf “Kazab”. As he is not kazab than i said i dont know him. my frand said that 3 out of 4 ppl that came out of the room had believed him.
I am almost sure that if he claims to be a prophet or a khalifah in future than many ppl will follow him.

What we need right now is some one who can lead the young generation morally + mentally.
Since few years we as Pakistan started to think we are alone, leftovers, and scattered.
If we talk about what he is doing he is not damaging roots of Pakistan he has great respect of Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal and Pakistan. Let say he talk about Bhoto that during 1971 he was also part of separation.. here pick books and read this is true….
Now come to other patriot Organizations Jamat Islami, Deobandi these are those people who are disordering the great leader’s Images.
This is long talk let me say one thing if he was with yousuf Kazab it was his responcibility to be with him from Intelligence.. Understood ???

That is the case with Zaid Hamid…. firstly, he wasn’t accepting his relations with Yusuf… then he accepted that he had relations with Yusuf, but he justified Yusuf’s act and rejected all blasphemy allegations made on Yusuf….
But now, recently he accepted that Yusuf’s belief in his last era were wrong…..
Now tell me one thing…. if Yusuf’s belief were wrong, and he knew it, then why he followed and defended Yusuf till his death (as he himself stated many times that he defended and followed the complete court prosecution !!!)
Now, how can you expect a good thing from such a big liar… who takes no time to change his statements !!!!!! even break his promise, made during Tanzeem-e-Islami meeting to publicly announce and post on all forums ( including internet…. facebook and related sites) about his wrong act of following Yusuf !!!!!
Instead, he used just the half part of that meeting in which Tanzeem-e-Islami announce to support him on 3 conditions… and the 3rd condition was about that promise i mentioned above !!!!!
now, it must be crystal clear !!!!

I am a person who will not believe anything unless I have done my research. After reading this email, I did my own research and surprising a doctor named Mohsin Ansari does not exist out here in the USA. So how about some clarification on this??
Safina you claimed that there is no Dr. Mohsin Ansari and you found results after a complete “research” waaoooohh ….. I must said I never appreciate your research and would be glad to teach you how & what is called research (open web site http://www.google.com and type their “Mohsin Ansari MD FAAP” you will find results…. How could you say for sure with pathetic research Now come on tell us who are you and for whom you are working for? I think you are also kazab’s follower working for some dangerous mission.

i am still in a fix deciding about zaid hamid. i have been such an ardent fan of him that at times i feel like crying after reading all that stuff about him and kazab. i dunno about his past but one thing that i can say is that he is every bit sincere in the present,he is a true ray of hope,giving the youth a feel of optimism I say this because I Alhamdulillah am very good at understanding the psyche and face reading the people.his voice comes from within…
may everything about that kazab and his relation to zaid hamid be fake and proven wrong.Aameen.

At the end of the day he has only done good for Pakistan and for Muslim Cause. So I will keep followinghim like millions of others. I guess we all are mature enough to leave him the moment he takes a wrong turn. But for now he has done plenty and continues to wake Muslim and Pakistani all over the world. A job that was not done by anyone over 60 years. Good on you Zaid Hamid we are all with you (INSHALLAH). May ALLAH bless Pakistan.

Well what Zaid hamid is saying is all according to Quran and Hadith, He is teaching Iqbal’s poetry and that is the greatest need of this time. All the lectures of Zaid Hamid that i have heard uptill now, dint contain anything like his relation with Yousaf Kazab or declaring himself as a prophet, rather he himself seems to be a strong lover of prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H. This Dr Mohsin please provide us some references for whatever you are saying in this letter, As we can not blindly trust Zaid Hamid, we are just getting his message that uptill now is veryyyyy right, similarly we can’t trust what rubbish this Dr Mohsin is saying, It is possible that Dr Mohsin would have written this based on his personal grudges with Zaid Hamid.
I want to take you some past when mirza Tahir Qadyani was a famous muslim scholar and respected by many people even by some muslim scholars. he used to have debtes (munazras) with christian scholars. but what he did at last all you know that. he claimed prophecy and used very very vulgar against Prophet Issa (May ALLAH send his blessigns upon him).
he was taught to first get muslim sympathy and then propogate his own mazhab (religion). Now zaid hamid formerly zaid zaman is doing same job. he has won many hearts of muslims specially young persons on which present and future of muslims and specially paksitan ddepends.
I have seen many articles and videos relating to zaid hamid including one where he discussed decsion of court against Yousaf Kazzab in which zaid tried to prove that Yousaf was innocent and muslim scholars made wrong case against him. now when much pressure is on him about relations with Yousaf kazaab he claimed that although he had relations with Yousaf but when Yousaf claimed prophecy he (zaid) left him. imagine the hypocracy of this man zaid. any one can search and see the video on youtube I referred here.
See all guys he is a lier. don’t beleive him. he is just getting your sympathy by his lectures against India, America and Israel.
Most precious wealth of a muslim is his emaan (beleif) so try to protect it from such persons and offer your prayers. and please pray 4 me also.
it doesnt matter what belief you had in past, but it matters what you believe now. He might had good relations with yusuf kazab but if Zaid Hamid admits that yusuf was a false prophet he was wrong at that time when he supported him then whats is the problem??? what will you say about those muslim scholars who initially supported mirza qadiani when he had debates with Christians, therefore if Zaid Hamid later recognised him (yusuf) as a false prophet then at least we should not judge him for that mistake.
Secondly i myself dont admire him for his un-authenticated knowledge and amateur logical reasoning but this is irrelevant that he once supported yusuf….

People who bring change are nearly always controversial. Jinnah was declared as a non believer, Iqbal was after he wrote jawab e shikwa. Iqbal had a past people could not relate to as a holy man, but he made Jinnah came back and woke up Muslims from their low self esteem. Today history repeats. Form prophet to leaders, if anyone wants to bring change, they will be opposed. And what better way is to use someones past mistakes, what we all have. All fake maulvis use Islam before they are exposed, but who would follow one after he says such a blasphemous act. Yousuf K may be a someone like that, but neither Zaid Hamid is like that nor any of the Muslims who admire him are stupid enough to follow someone who can go so much against Quran, which says Muhammad (PBUH) is the last prophet. Remember He is waking up people not sedating them to follow him like a pipe piper. He told us to follow Quran and Prophet (PBUH) not himself. Think with both sides of your brain without any prejudice. May all see the truth without being have to be shaken. Aamin.
